The Senior Pastor Search Committee has begun the process of searching for the next man God wants to lead Florence Baptist Church at Mt. Zion, and each of you will have several opportunities over the coming weeks and months to be an essential and critical part of that process. Until such time, you may be wondering what you can do, and we are glad you asked!
Throughout this process, we encourage you to continue – or start, as the case may be – your active participation in the ministry of your Church, including taking the following simple, yet KEY, action steps:
SEEK out a ministry leader, staff member or lay volunteer, let them know you are available to serve and ask them “What can I do to help?” . . . You can do that!
ENCOURAGE others to use their spiritual gifts and talents like never before . . . You can do that!
HONOR the Lord through giving by developing a pattern of consistent tithing . . . You can do that!
COMMIT to bringing visitors to an FBCMZ activity. Be active in letting others know of our great church and the many ministries we have available . . . You can do that!
PRAY for your Senior Pastor Search Committee and all of the other activities, ministries and personnel in your Church.
Complete a prayer commitment card and make a promise to be consistent in your daily prayer time . . . You can do that!
As Bro. Tim has often been heard to say, this can be one of the most exciting, God-honoring times in the history of our Church and we as your Senior Pastor Search Committee look forward to working alongside you as we diligently get about seeking God’s will – and the man He has for us!
